Vine to Wine
In 2002 I met a friend that was a wine expert. I would have never guessed that chance meeting would lead me to a passion for wine. I find it exciting to discover the different grape growing techniques from all over the world, the growers whose families may have ties to their land for hundreds of years, or perhaps only a couple of generations. I never expected to hear the historical stories tied to the wine, or the depth of the passion that goes into the final product. Now wine is like a song for me. In the same way a song can bring me to another time or place, the sip of wine can bring me to France, or Australia. The possibilities are endless. I look forward to sharing new discoveries and adventures with you. Where it will lead is unknown, and the unknown is what makes life exciting!

I love ginger. In the winter I will drink tea consisting of just a thin slice of ginger and a lemon wedge. So it's no surprise that I also love this ginger Bellini. If you're not a fan of ginger or are a bit nervous of using such a strong flavor, don't worry, the ginger is smoothed by the peach. If you're ready for something new, give this a try at your next brunch. Cheers!
4 oz chilled Prosecco
1 oz white peach puree
3/4 oz ginger-peach liqueur*
In a pint glass slowly stir the Prosecco into the peach puree. Drizzle in the ginger-peach liqueur, then pour into a chilled flute.
GINGER-PEACH LIQUEUR (makes about 7 oz):
In a saucepan combine 8 oz creme de pêche with a thinly sliced 1-inch piece of ginger. Bring to a boil, then remove from the heat; let cool slightly. Muddle the ginger into the cème de pêche and let cool for thirty minutes. Pour the infused liqueur through a very fine strainer into a jar and store at room temperature for up to one month.
